What our students and parents say...

Hi Paul,

I want to thank you for your personal interest in my success in Krav. I have never had training like this before. While I am disappointed in my current performance, I know that with dedication and persistence I will achieve my personal and physical goals. I consider it a privilege that you are willing to help me.

Two things have happened. When I was involved in that minor scuffle the other night, I quickly felt like I do on class- fatigued beyond measure. It was exactly like you have said during training. I really see the reason now for pushing so hard to develop the heart and mind-set to keep going when you have to. Secondly, when you put me in the choke hold the other night a light went off (actually my lights nearly went out!). I have fought many “black belts” over the years but I had not seen anything like that before. Most of my fights have been with people trained in tradition/intimidation. Seeing the application of a real fighting system that produces real results was exciting for me. It solidified my personal goal to advance in Krav.

I think about Krav all day. I want to come to every class. Physically I am trying to improve. Frankly, the ass kicking I took last Monday mandated taking Tuesday to recover. I try to work out or at least study Krav (books) every day (one hour last night). Kid obligations/work etc make attending class difficult but I am doing my best and it is not for lack of motivation. Working on the habit.

Nicole and I would be very interested in a trip to LA when you think we are ready.

Thanks again for your consideration, prowess, and expertise.

Hello Paul –

I wanted to thank you again for the warm welcome and the great classes Wed and Thrs nights.

I wrote this on my flight home Friday. I thought you'd enjoy feedback and a little about my home school.

I appreciate how you are running your classes. I enjoyed and learned from the mix of activities.

The breaks were important for me – I would have had to step aside without them.

We don't have breaks in our school, but the classes are only 45 min and we recover during stretching after an intense 5-10 min warmup. We are pushed hard in class from then on. Sometimes a handful of us stay a longer to practice grappling.

Two classes a week only. We are welcome to join a Tae Kwon Do sparring class once a week. I haven't done that - bad schedule time for me and it really isn't what I am looking for.

KM is kind of "second fiddle" in my home school in Wekiva (outside Orlando). Their bread and butter is Tae Kwon Do - they have real good programs for the kids. I certainly respect my teachers and I appreciate that I have the opportunity to study KM, but it is not the same as the classes like your's, and the NTC's, and Jeremy Stafford's in Simi Valley. Your dedication to your students and the program – e.g. the regular trips to LA – are admirable.

Lexie attitude stood out to me. On the rare occasions when I'm paired with a woman at my school for self-defense or contact drills, they tend to be a little intimidated. Lexie (not sure I have her name right) jumped right in – fearless and efficient. Just great.

I felt great on Friday - very sore, but it was a good sore.

Best wishes,
Greg

Awesome, simply awesome! Whether you are looking for an incredible workout, SERIOUS self-defense tactics, or full throttle 'fighting' skill, Paul Evans Krav Maga SLC is IT!

Since starting a few months ago I have lost 24 pounds and my blood pressure went from 180/80 to 120/80. My 15-year-old son has been attending class twice a week with me and I have seen a huge increase in his confidence and energy level.

I hardly know where to begin in writing my appreciation to Paul Evans and his program. This program is far exceeding my greatest hopes for my daughter in relation to shaping her life. So many positive changes have come about in her attitude, her self-esteem, and her sense of responsibility and her way of looking at life since she started this program almost a year ago.

She is being taught to respect others and herself. She is being taught that she cannot control others actions and attitudes, but that she does have the power within her as to how she reacts and treats others. She is being taught how to watch for possible danger around her and how to keep herself safe. She is being taught how to be aware of her environment. I have never seen her so happy and with such a positive attitude, and I credit her time spent at Paul Evans Premier Martial Arts. Paul Evans and his family have such an intense love of these children and what they are teaching, that it can't help but influence these children. They in turn have developed a love and respect for his family that is serving this community so much.

I, as a parent, will ever be in debt to them, and I am so grateful to have found out about this program!

Paul, Jason and I wanted to thank you not only for choosing Madison for Warrior of the month but for all the support you show both my children. It is so reassuring to have the kids involved not only in an activity or sport, but a "concept" that reinforces what we try to teach at home. They both love and appreciate you as do Jason & I. We look forward to many more years to come.

Dear Sensei Paul Evans,

I am very thankful for your organization, for your dedication and what you stand for. I know that Jake really looks up to you and takes what you tell him to heart. Jake has changed so much lately! I think it has alot to do with his self-esteem increasing through your program. I want to commend him on the respectful way he has treated myself as well as his sister. He also takes pride in keeping his room clean & taking the garbage out without being told. He has made a good effort on bringing his grades up. Thanks again for everything you do.

Sincerely,

Sherry Jensen

Dear Sensei Evans & Family,

We want you to know how much we enjoyed having our girls take karate from you. You've taught them so many skills and life lessons, and set such a good example for them. You have such an awesome close-knit family & we've been so impressed by that too. Thanks again for all that you have done.

With Love,

Dear Paul,

We feel very fortunate that chance brought us to your dojo last fall. The experience that our children have had in your programs since then has been superb. I wish circumstances were such that we could stay and continue to grow with your students and instructors. I perceive that what you've labored to build offers an invaluable sense of community to both youth and their families.

I recall the first day I met you last year, when you so graciously welcomed us into your studio. Your ethusiasm was obvious and inspiring. Your hand shake and eye contact were strong. The patient and positive attitude that you've shown my children has helped to keep us focused and committed.

Anyone watching you interact with your pupils will recognize how much you love your job. Your families involvement in program instruction and running the studio speaks volumes about your character and integrity. Your children are clearly very mature for their age. I'd say the same for your instructors, and their competence as well. We wish you all the best of success growing your dojo in the years ahead. You've got a great thing going. I certainly hope our paths cross again.

Thank you,

The Kristensens Family
